Jolynn Johnson Smith (Guest Speaker for Women's History Month)
Jolynn Johnson Smith, a former USTA-ranked tennis player and national champion, grew up in a family with physicians, educators, and athletes. She holds degrees from Howard University and has worked in communications, corporate roles, and healthcare recruiting. Smith has contributed to the USTA Centennial celebration, honoring her grandfather, Dr. Robert W. "Whirlwind" Johnson, a pioneer in integrating tennis. Currently a Talent Acquisition Consultant at Duke Health System, she is poised to serve as President of the Whirlwind Johnson Foundation dedicated to her grandfather. Sponsored by Career Services.
