HyFlex 301: HyFlex Course Design

HyFlex Course Design is a hands-on workshop that offers insightful faculty perspective and experiences, FAQ’s, and other essential resources to help you excel in the HyFlex modality. Learners will use various free resources that are designed for engaging students in Zoom and in person, will use a curriculum map to align content for the three modalities, evaluate possible ways of ensuring that HyFlex course design and delivery is equitable across the three modalities, and will design at least one module for their HyFlex course. Learners will also be able to recognize the four pillars of HyFlex developed by Brian Beatty: learner choice, equivalency, reusability, and accessibility.

Learners have the option of attending HyFlex 301 synchronous (live session or remote via Zoom), or asynchronous (online, self-paced workshop). Please select the appropriate modality below.

Faculty and staff are welcome to participate in the entire series or simply attend individual sessions—whatever suits your interest, need, or schedule.
